UK - Aotearoa

3 women are sat in a near circle in a studio theatre having a group conversation in sign language. One is signing to the others, with hands in the air.

Our practice-led research work took place in both the UK and in Aotearoa NZ. This was due to COVID restrictions at the time causing travel issues, but it turned into a major strength of the project as it enabled an international collaboration including an international Deaf team of Consultants:

Denise Armstrong: UK (British Sign Language, International Sign Language).

Rāhera (Rachel) Turner: Aotearoa New Zealand (New Zealand Sign Language).

Thora Hübner: Germany/Aotearoa New Zealand (German Sign Language/DGS, International Sign Language, British Sign Language)
